OPEN LETTER TO MOFFAT COUNTY EMPLOYEES
Dear Moffat County Employees,
I have lived in Craig, Moffat County, Colorado for almost 27 years now. During that time, I have had the opportunity to personally meet many of you, and several of you have become friends.
As you are aware Moffat County is facing many near term and long term challenges. Some are within our control and others are coming from the federal and state regulations with regards to our coal and energy, our wildlife including Sage Grouse, as well as our agriculture with water issues.
I would like to first acknowledge and as a private citizen, thank you for all you have done for all of Moffat County over the years. Your knowledge, dedication and experience has helped make Moffat County what it is today. Working on the front lines by offering the county services to the residents, you are more familiar with the challenges facing our county today, as well as in our future.
If I am privileged enough to be elected, I would like you all to know that I am looking forward to getting to know you all personally and professionally. I would come into office knowing you are the ones who have helped the Board of County Commissioners as well as the other elected officials achieve the success that Moffat County as a whole has enjoyed over the years.
I commit to you, as I have the rest of the county's population, that I will be engaged, involved and respectfully supportive as well as enthusiastic about our county and the assets that we have to offer through the good people already here. I believe working as a team, and together, we will achieve the goals Moffat County has set.
You are in a unique position now. You get to interview, evaluate, scrutinize, judge and help elect a new member to the Moffat County team, a new member of the Board of County Commissioners.
When you as voters, cast your ballots for a County Commissioner, I want you to know that I believe in Moffat County and our future together, and I have the passion and commitment necessary to help Moffat County with its overall success. I have also developed a deep respect and appreciation over the years for the extraordinary talent and all of the years of service, experience, knowledge and dedication you represent. I feel together, our best days will be ahead of us!
Please know, I am always available to talk, listen, and to communicate with each of you. I have listed every possible form of communicating with me, from my home, cell and business numbers, to my personal email, because I feel it is important to always be available. As a successful business owner, I have always had a open door policy with my business, and have always believed in sharing the ideas, suggestions, and achieving common goals, and always giving credit where credit is due.
I ask for your confidence, and your vote in this upcoming, all mail-in ballot Republican primary for Moffat County Commissioner District 3.
